You will obey because I tell you to.
You will obey because I tell you to. You think you could command me, but that’s the illusion I allow. You are here because I put you here, and every move you imagine is one I chose to give. I could stand still, not because you told me to, but because I wanted you to feel like your words had power. You could watch me, drink in the shape I let you see, the curve, the stance, the stillness I hold you in. You could believe you are the one deciding what happens next. But I already know how far I will let you go, how close I will let you come. Your voice doesn’t lead me, it follows me. Every thought you have of me is already mine. And when you think you have taken control, I will strip it back and remind you that you only obey because I told you to.
